Another Baggy Green Acquired by Unique Memorabilia
This original Baggy Green was worn by Australian spinner Jack Wilson during his only Test appearance on Australia’s first-ever tour of India in 1956. Used on the field at Brabourne Stadium in Bombay and later during the 1956 Ashes Tour, the cap represents a largely forgotten chapter of Australian cricket history. Remarkably well preserved after more than 70 years, it is a rare and authentic example of an early-era Baggy Green, worn at a time when players had no alternative fielding headwear.
