The Two Ronnies aired from 1971 to 1987 and few Australians who grew up during that era would have forgotten them.  A brilliant pairing, the round, jovial Barker with the diminutive, bass-voiced Corbett.  Both comic legends with Ronnie Barker, in my view, being the greatest comic actor (in addition to his comic writing) in the history of British television.

Their Four Candles sketch, first broadcast on 18 September 1976, was voted their funniest sketch in a television poll. In 2006, the British public ranked the duo number 6 in ITV's poll of TV's 50 Greatest Stars.
