In the 2009 NRL season, Cayless played nearly every game as Parramatta went on a remarkable run to reach the 2009 NRL Grand Final against Melbourne. Parramatta lost the final 23–16 at Telstra Stadium but Melbourne's premiership win was stripped the following year due to multiple and deliberate breaches of the salary cap. In other words, Parramatta should be awarded the 2009 Premiership!
Presented here is a magnificent Cayless and Eels collectable, an Asics boot complete with Grand Final soil and the Cayless signature, framed in a 3D display showing Cayless wearing the Asics boot whilst playing.
With Parramatta, he holds the record for the most games as captain of any team in the NRL. He also twice captained the Eels to the Minor Premiership. He played 259 matches for the Eels and represented New Zealand in 39 games.
Has just been given a new frame too.
