Liverpool is the most successful British club in international football with fourteen trophies, having won the European Cup/UEFA Champions League (UEFA's premier club competition) six times.

Liverpool won the European Cup in 1977, 1978, 1981 and 1984 before winning again in 2005 and 2019.

This 1984 European Cup First Day Cover, celebrating Liverpool's European success, is personally signed by:

Joe Fagan - coach and manager at Liverpool for 27 years before becoming manager in 1983, winning 3 titles in a single season.  One of only 4 English managers to have won the European Cup.

Ian Rush - "no British player has demonstrated a more ruthless aptitude for long-term net-finding."  616 Liverpool games.  337 goals.  1984 European Cup. 5 First Division titles.
