This fantastic photo depicts the start of the 1971 Hardie Ferodo 500 at Bathurst with Ford Falcon XY GTHO Phase 3s predominant.  In fact, the Falcons owned the first 7 places on the starting grid.

The race was won by Allan Moffat in his GTHO.
